Hi,
Today I added some pictures. They are all taken in the last few weeks, which I enjoyed very much.
Actually these are the final pictures. The site has reached full capacity. I hope anyway that through this site I could give you an idea about Japan..
Have a merry Easter!
Greetings
Dries

The cherry blossom (桜 or 櫻 sakura) is Japan’s unofficial national flower. It has been celebrated for many centuries and takes a very prominent position in Japanese culture.
There are many dozens of different cherry tree varieties in Japan, most of which bloom for just a couple of days in spring. The Japanese celebrate that time of the year with hanami (花見 lit. “flower viewing”) parties under the blooming trees.

Though I had to work on Saturday the weekend was interesting. Thanks to and together with Mo I went to the performance ‘Je suis sang’ of Jan Fabre on Friday night. Some actors of the play invited us to join them on the next day and so on Saturday night we went together with them and Jan Fabre and at his expenses as VIP’s to the very exclusive club ‘Le Baron’…
Today I experienced again that despite the Italian name, the office where I work is very Japanese. On the occasion of extension of the office, a Shinto priest was invited to come to bless us and the building…
I putted some pictures on the page ‘RTA’

Today, after a 10 day visit, my twin brother went back to Sri Lanka. Because I had to work during the week, he had to see most of Tokyo and Kyoto alone. Yet, at night and in the weekends we enjoyed time together. Thanks to his curiosity I discovered and rediscovered the potential of places as Yoyogi and Ueno park and Yokohama City and its ferry terminal..

This week, finally I received the result of the Japanese language Proficiency Test I took in December.

Takayama was our last stop. It s a traditional town in the Japanese Alps. Very particular there are the houses with the gassho-zukuri (hands-in-prayer) architecture. Designed for carrying up to two meters of snow.

Hi
I added a new page to this blog. With pictures of the first two days of our trip. That was in Beppu, a small city in the Japanese Southern island Kyushu. Known for its hot springs. Which we experienced through onsens, sand- and mud baths.

Since four days I am back in Tokyo.
Sunday Jana and me left by shinkansen our last destination Takayama.
The trip around Japan was really ‘sugoi’!
I will put some pictures and comments on my blog in the next days/weeks.
Tuesday my traineeship in the Riccardo Tossani office started.
Apart from quite a big earthquake, the first day went off smoothly. My impression of the office is fair. All is very wel organised. Colleagues are friendly and helpfull and they are working on interesting projects.
In the next weeks I will work with three of them on a residential building in Harajuku, Tokyo.

Japanese four character idiom
Start Continue Change Conclusion
Kishotenketsu is an entirely different structure for stories and poems. In this system, the supporting points loop around the main point without creating a linear argument. The points are intended to only obliquely reference the main point, it is up to the reader to infer how this relates to the main thesis. There is no firm conclusion, only an ambiguous ending that may point to several possible outcomes.
